i would not be back after this summer i think, if the 12pm is extended...

even some of the quiter bars are being drowned out by the noisy one putting the music louder and louder....

not my scene thanks.....

in sept when we went, the noisy bars has quitened a bit and it was lovely...but, we have to go in school holidays, and sometimes its just to much, to listen too

Even in our favourite Havana Bar this year the music was too loud at times, you couldn't sit and chat as you couldn't hear anyone, and at the time we went it's not really a massive dance bar.

It will make a big difference to my holidays if this new license goes ahead.

I would like to see the music go on until 1am, but not loud music, just background music.

I think 1.00am would be better, as sometimes its just getting going & then it all goes off and kills the mood. Although no later than 1.00, else it might ruin it for familys.

When i was in Icmeler just a few weeks ago the music was not anywhere near as bad as i had been led to believe on here.some but not that many had fairly lively music never extreme ,but it was easy to find a quieter area to converse easily and come midnight the police car appeared with flashing lights as a warning to bars to cut the volume ,at this time depending on the bar you were in the music went off or was reduced to a fairly low level .Midnight or 1am i don't think it matters that much .Icmeler was never overbearing as regards the music ,we as a group of six were always able to have conversation without shouting .Icmeler generally is a lovely peaceful location for a getaway .

We stayed at the Mitos on the canal again this year. Lovely place.

Normally we would be out and about when the music gets turned up full volume and not notice the music blasting away, but one night we were both feeling ill and still in our beds when the music was turned up around 10 o clock. Between the Majestic, Venice, Korsan and dream boys. Our whole apartment was shaking. So I can understand why music it turned off at 12o clock.

I have no problem with music being on in the backround.

I think loud music is right to go off at 12pm but there should be quieter more relaxed music until 1am. Everything just goes so dead at 12pm all at once it should be phased out until 1am.
I am not a rock chick , far from it, but I don't want to be tucked up in bed at 12pm cos i am on my hols.
Its different if you are not well and as was said on another thread there are hotels, appts in quieter areas for people who like peace and quiet.
That's my opinion anyway. One thing I'm not impressed with is the amount of Karaoke in Icmeler now.
As the night wears on people are drunker and sound worse and I think that should definitley be turned off at 11pm.

i think that 1 am would be ideal,in the june/july period you stay out on the pool longer and by the time you have had a chill before getting ready we are not going out before 9 to 9.30 and your meal takes it up towards 11pm.
at the tender age of 59 i like to have a bop on holidays because its something i cant do at home due to work, but do need a few efes to get the legs going...and then its to late 12 oclock comes and cinders and prince charming cant go to the ball....
BUT i do agree about the level of noise that has increased during the last two summers,we like to go to Wonderboys for a dance and drink if thats the mood for the night,BUT by the same token this summer we found the magis garden and the cactus bar and they were superb for a good getting to know new people typical Icmeler evening.
Oh how i wish i was there now ...instead of this over watered island....

As we've all said, background music would be ideal after midnight and I'm in agreement with this.

I've just read the locked thread re this topic and I have to agree with Amy.
We are a middle aged couple and we always go in Sept but I don't feel that I should have to go to a nightclub with all the people young enough to be my grandchildren (nearly) just to enjoy ourselves until 1am.

We want to be with our own age group listening to lovely relaxing music ,not thump thump music, and still be able to chat comfortably, surely this must be possible in a civilised world, everyones views must be taken into consideration. We all work hard and save all year for just 2 weeks of rest, relaxation and fun.

I would not object to the music staying on later, we are a family of 4 with a 3 and 6 year old. We make sure we stay in the quieter parts of Icmeler so the noise does not affect the kids. I am sure all of us can compromise, I would never choose an apartment near the centre because of the noise, whether that is the dustbin man at 6am or the clubbers rolling in, or jewellers touting their wares :?

I am happy for the music to be lowered at midnight, ZaZa lowers his ar 12pm and leaves it low background music, this would be great, I personally just don't want the thump thump music till 1am

Plus I have to stay in the main town as my parents are elderly and couldn't walk back to the quieter area's etc. But yes lowered music at 12pm would be good

Loud music No, but in agreement with lots of folk that lack of background music after 12.00 does spoil the evening.Nice to wind down the evening like that instead of sudden silience

I'd prefer it to stay as it is, in fact I think that's one of the reasons we keep returning.
