Turkish hospitality

I thought i wouldl like to share this with all turkish fans.

My mum and dad went over to Turunc in September for their 50th wedding anniversay, it was one thing after another, firstly xl went bust so instead of going on 12th for 10 days it was changed to 15th for 7 days.

My dad had a bad stomach for a few days in Turunc, but he still managed to get the boat over to Icmeler as he knew i had been there 7 times and wanted to see what the attraction was, then after 3 days my mum who is 73 ended up in Marmaris hospital for 7 days with Pneumonia, my dad who is 75 still with his stomach bug got the dolmus from Turunc to Marmaris every day without fail. He had nothing but praise for the doctors and nurses at the hospital, she got first class treatment, my mum came out of hospital 7 days later and had 2 nice days in turunc before getting a plane home and the paramedics picked her up from Manchester Airport.

Even though they had a disastrous holiday my dad was so made up that the hotel, doctors nurses, holiday makers from Turunc going as far as Marmaris were very helpful and did everything they could to help my parents
My mum was sat on the beach for 2 days and was suprised that so many turkish people and holiday makers came up to ask her how she was, they were bringing drinks to her and was waiting on hand and foot.

So instead of being there for 7 days they were there for 14 days

Do hope they have both recovered fully now.

Hope they're both feeling better now - but it's nice to hear that they still appreciated the care and attention they received. Turkish hospitality is second to none - that's why we all keep coming back! :)

They are both ok now, my mum suffers from Diabetes she was taken of her insulin whilst in Marmaris as she was put on a special diet so she did not need it, but the doctors over here thinks she needs to go back on it as our English diets arent as good as Turkish.

My mum and dad could not believe that people were comng up to him in Marmaris and asking how my mum was. And in Turunc the whole village seemed to know about her being in hospital. I am so glad she was in Turkey when this happened as I would dread to think what would happen in our NHS hospitals. She was given the best care over there.

After all that they still loved the place

Really glad to hear this, there seems to be an awful lot of negative posts recently so this one is my 'little ray of sunshine' Rather than hearing of people being ripped off etc. it's nice to hear the positive side too. Glad they are both ok now. : :D
