I think it happens in a few places. We went in to De Ja Vue one night, and my other half got malibu and coke, we sent it back because there was barely any malibu in it, there was just a slight taste there but just tasted of mainly coke.

You're welcome Blondie
we found the other problem - I had to ask for extra coke in my vodka, it made my eyes water with the strength!

I had a vodka based cocktail in there (Golden Dream I think) and it nearly blew my head off. It was so strong and when the barman saw me gasping for breath, he thought it was hilarious!

if you book a table there, do you have to have a meal, or can you book it, and just sit drinking?

found this show to be just brilliant, loved it

hi karen, we've always eaten when we've booked a table, so my guess is that there's an expectation that you'll eat if you book
since the show's "free", it's got to be paid for - and though the food/drink is dearer than you can get around Icmeler, I still reckon it's a reasonably priced night when you think how much it costs say for Talk of The Town

The food in Talk Of The Town is terrible. We got a half cooked chicken leg, and some salad that was curling at the edges, and a plastic cup with tinned fruit salad in it for desert. There is no choice everyone gets the same take it or leave it.

Thanks for that Steve
I knew that the food was a fixed menu - chicken in a basket we were told, now that did bring back some memories [circa 1970 ha ha]
we'll stick with Stella as it's become a bit of an annual event for us - like doing Blackpool lights

we must try and get to Baccus [?] Bella Berserk next year, sounds great from your recommendations

I saw both shows this year and think Stella show was 100 times better than Talk of the Town anyway. Talk of the Town is really badly planned in my opinion. We bought out tickets on the door a few nights before we went and the guy said make sure you are here for 9.30-we knew no different so we were there for that time-the show didnt start until getting onto 11pm! Its a big scam so you can have a few drinks before! Even then we had to sit in the outside bar and once the doorman opened the doors it was a stampede to get the best seats! The meal was disguisting! an absolute waste of money.
The one good thing I would say was the fact there are 3 artists on stage who take turns so you are not waiting around for the next part to come on. I find this annoying at Stella. It takes Michael roughly about 5 minutes each time to get changed into the next costume (he's still fantastic though!)

It doesn't even come in a basket :D

I hope you give Bella a try, my other half makes me check if Bella is going to be working before I am allowed to book our next hol to Icmeler. As we are not big fans of the entertainment in Icmeler, it is nice to be able to go into Marmaris and see Bella and as it's a different show each night of the week if we go 3 times in a week we dont get bored.

That's odd. I only paid 3.70 lira. Was yours a pint or a bottle?

Several Efes and brandies, eventually, 2 excellent meals and the show and the bill came to less than 90YTL. I must admit that I was expecting almost double that amount and was very pleasantly surprised.

The only thing that we find lacking in Icmeler is the lack of night life and let's face it, the Stella show is really the be all and end all of the night life unless you include the endless number of restaurants and bars with their waiters dancing on top of the bars miming to Robbie Williams, Michael Jackson and the Spice Girls/Boys etc. The brain really has to go in to neutral, supplemented by copious amounts of Raki, to enjoy this after the second serving. I will not even mention Karaoke  oops, I Just did :!:

thanks fanny, we shall book a table then, especially as it will be busy in july, we were also paying 6 lira for a bottle of efes, but didnt really mind too much, as i suppose it goes to pay for the entertainment

if you're beach people Karen, you could do what we do and use the Harmony free beach during the day - they'll expect you to get at least a drink though
while we're there, we book a table for the night - and they usually pick us up/drop us back at the aparts free of charge too
