*Thank You to Everyone Here* - first timer to Icmeler!

Postby JOLOU » 08 Sep 2008 21:25

Hi, just wanted to thank everyone in the forum. I'm going to Icmeler for the first time next week with my mum and I think I've read every topic and every reply on absolutely everything! This is a fantastic hive of information and I shall recommend it! My only disappointment is that I think we've booked the worst hotel in the resort - the Alinda!!!!!! When we booked I read two good reports and now I've not seen one - eek! however I'm sure the beach and the two bars next door will more than make up for it - here's to meeting lots of friendly people......

Hi JOLOU and welcome to the forum.

I wouldn't worry too much about the Alinda. Ok, it's not a great hotel, but the rooms are ok, and very clean (my friend stopped there earlier this year). Just treat it as somewhere to sleep at night. It's in a great location, so that's a plus point, and the Dream 3 bells is only a few doors down, and you'll love it in there. The beach is only a few minutes away too. I'm sure that you will have a great time and it will be the first visit of many. Like the rest of us on here you will become "addicted"

Enjoy.

Hi Jolou, the Alinda might not be the best but it's well situated. Come out of the door and you can fall into the Havana. The dream 3 bells, Hobgoblin, and Sugars bar are 2 mins away. :)

I agree about the pool at the Alinda, it's weird, but hey fall next door into the Havana Bar and Zaza will keep you entertained for hours :D

Thank you so so much for your replies - I'm not feeling too bad now, I was dreading telling my mum all the bad things I've read about the Alinda, but you've all put my mind slightly at ease. Anyhow - all you need is somewhere to rest your head on holiday - surely! - THANKS AGAIN TO ALL....

That's it Jolou, just make sure you have a great time and I can guarantee that won't be hard in Icmeler!
As far as I know, the Alinda is clean and that's always top of my list

ooo just think, the beach is less than a minute's walk, so who needs a pool in the sun eh? and there are plenty of hotels nearby with nice pools who won't mind you using them at all!!
