I always cry and all our Turkish friends waver between sympathy and laughing at me(in the nicest possible way) Once I couldn't stop til we were over France in the plane Boy was that one eye leaking jag or what!!!

I shed a tear with excitement when i can see icmeler bay on the left on arrival ... then i cry again during my last morning walk sitting at the cafe de la mar .... then blubber when i have to leave friends and icmeler once again till i can return Sensitive ? Me ? noooooo!!!!

I also cried today when I heard about Husnu (the roses man). Such a shock and our thoughts are with his wife and family.
So it goes to show that its not only when you leave Icmeler thats upsetting its sad things that can happen there.

I think Icmeler has a strange effect on people. We had been in Deja Vu a few times and had seen a little lad from Wales getting into the spirit of things. He was on stage with the lads dancing, behind the bar and in the kitchen, just enjoying himself,even doing solo spots,and on his last night Biro and co gave him a signed t-shirt. He broke down in tears, and as i looked around the tables there were dozens of people crying, and nobody even knew him!!
As for me crying, dont even go there. There are too many people watching what i am writing!.

I cried like a big baby last time, I went to say goodbye to friends and was inconsolable! Had to walk back to get the bus in tears

Im awful for it.
I still cry looking back at pictures most weeks. I get so emotional for about 3 months after i get back, and the coach ride back is horrible. its the feeling of that large lump in the back of your throat that gets me, and if anybody tries to talk to me, i just cant answer and burst into tears once again.
I think its the fact that the next time you go, people you meet may not be there still for whatever reason. Knowing that you'll never see them again, even though they're what makes your holiday.

Tissues are definatly the first thing on my list!

We bought a house in Icmeler 2 years ago as we love it so much, so we've always got something to come back to with memories. Yes, it is hard to leave, but we all have to at some time and you can always come back.

The hardest time is the last week in the season, being there when the bars all close one by one and the lights go out. You're wandering round a ghost town remembering the warmer days and nights, looking at stacked up chairs and tables and empty bar shelves.

Try coming back out of season, there's only one or 2 bars open and you've got the place to yourself, no hassle. It's lovely to walk around and really see Icmeler in it's glory. Yes, sometimes it's wet and cold, but if you love Icmeler as your favorite place you'll see it's true beauty and appreciate the serenity, that is until Galatasary beat Fenabache in a football match and all you hear for hours is road horns!!

we had our last nite in venice on friday 5th september and my 2 girls,son wife sobbed as usual

I cried the whole day we were going home I could'nt even get out of bed. How said is that ? I managed to compose myself to go and say bye to the people we had met and I've not cried since (thankfully). Going back in October I'll probably be worse then because I know it will be months before I can go back.
