Postby tinsle » 30 Aug 2008 15:18

Hiya everyone

Myself and my family are going back to icmeler next July and was wondering if anyone could tell me if .. you have to pay to get into Rhodes when you go on a day trip??

Is it like when you go from Kos to Bodrum and you have to pay the £10 entry fee??

Amybody got any ideas?

When you leave marmaris you have to pay a 15 euro departure tax, but because you have a valid visa for turkey, you do not have to pay for another visa for entrance back into turkey.

There should be no entry fee to get in to Greece, as its in the EU and you are an EU citizen (I presume) you shouldn't have to pay to get in. There is a departure tax to leave Turkey I think, and in total it should you about £30-£35 each for a return trip to Rhodes including all taxes and transfers and ferry. Check on ICR website maybe for a up to date price but think thats what we paid and didnt have to pay anything else on top of that.

You need to pay taxes to get into a lot of EU countries.

I goto Ibiza every year still and need to pay a tax when you arrive, it is used to offset negative effects of tourism on the island.
