Everyone must try Old Famous Bar this year. We had an opening night drink in there the other night and hasten to say a few bottles of vodka later

we were all quite merry and had a great evening.

I love wandering down to the Bamboo on the front after a meal and a stroll round, some guy sings live and it's great for people watching

How are the prices this year in the old famous, for beers and soft drinks and are they typical of the resort in general.
How about the food prices this year, are they similar to last year?

Yes prices in old famous are around the same prices in general as other restaurants and bars and also the food prices are good because of the smaller menu

Maymun, we also like the Miami bar in the old village. Manuel (Umbashir), the owner is so hard working and always makes you feel so welcome!

Shaz
We will deffinately be there in June. Can't wait to see how things have changed as we havn't been since 2005. The Old Famous was one of our fave places.
Glad you had a good night
Have you taken any pics of the new place? If so could you post one?
Are they still going to do breakfast as we used to love going there in the mornings for our scrambled egg and fresh orange juice?

Try the Romeo and Juliet. No loud music or dancing waiters. Very relaxing. Pool table and playstation for the kids. Complimentary nuts and fruit. Very friendly owners and staff. We seem to end up here every night as our 13 year old son loves the place. Just along the road from the Dream Three Bells.

Hi, would just like to recommend Charly's Steak Restaurant, (used to be an Irish Bar last year) opposite Taj Mahal beside Mandalin and Linekars, the best grub in Turkey, full Irish/English breakfast (proper bacon and sausages & home made thick chips), English Tea the lot.
Good entertainment this year also (after dinner). My finance owns it (Leo).....But honestly have to say its a bit different from all the normal "holiday food" you get everywhere and better quality meat!

Subzi wrote:Wheres this charlys irish bar?? is it busy and lively at night? or will it be around august do you think? btw can anyone recommend the busiest place for all the teenagers and people in the 20s will go before the clubs ive been going for a few years i usually end up in wonderboys or hobnobs anyone else recommend for me and my mates?
Hi, the Restaurant is down the side street opposite Taj Mahal across the road from Mandalin and next door to Linekars, round the corner from the web cam lol. Its very good food, the best I have had and even when I lived there.
The discoteque is lively, Eastenders or a fun pub for all the family is Romance, have many a good night in here!! Owned by English people. But Charly's have entertainment on after dinner around 10pm.
hope this helps

Stewart,
If you're anywhere near to the Pinewood then you can use the Celik, The Sevgi/Sempati ( excellent restaurant by the way ) Richards place at the Sahin Palace or if you cross the road you have more quieter bars there.
I can recommend the Sempati (Sevgi aprts) great food and quieter surroundings( apart from their Turkish nights!!)

For a nice peaceful evening with fantastic food I'd highly recommend 'Love Star' up in the old village.
The food is fantastic and there's no dancing waiters, just a nice chilled out atmos.
