Hi, we were in Icmeler in June staying at Golmar Beach, and there was a German wedding in the hotel. The place looked really beautiful all tulle and gold bows and candleabra, the tables were beautifully set. The bride and groom had white leather chairs to sit on which were really high backed, and set on an elevated platform. It was quite surreal seeing a wedding taking place at 4pm and people walking along the beach front stopping to watch who were wearing their beach wear. The wedding went on till the wee small hours and there was a combination of traditional Turkish music and more up to date stuff. After the ceremony and meal everyone was free to join in, it was really lovely.

last year we met a couple who were getting married this year. I have just seen the pictures and it looked wonderful. The apartments allowed her to have all 18 apartments for a fixed fee so it was very private with no strangers around. The apartments are Eden garden apartments and the owner marty arranged everything that needed to be done from icmeler. If you are on facebook look out for Berkat Unver and he has posted some pictures. hope this helps.

I got married in Icmeler in 2006 on a boat. I was living in Turkey at the time so I organised everything myself. It would probably be quite difficult to organise from the UK but if you were thinking of taking a holiday before the big day then I can give you some advice on where to get things from if you want. Just PM me and I will answer any questions as there is quite a bit involved in the legalaties too.

With regards to places where you can actually be married most restaurants and bars will do your wedding and wedding party for you if you know of somewhere that you would like, however most places are reluctant to do make it completely private unless you are willing to pay them quite a big fee.

Most of the big hotels, Aqua, Laguna and Marti etc will let you hold it all there, as will some of the boat owners and most of the big tour operators offer services where they will do everything for you for a price, including all legal paperwork etc. Like I said any questions just PM and I'll do my best to help.
