Shop Recommendation

Postby bellabella » 04 Sep 2007 18:44

I would like to recommend a fab wee shop. It's just past the main front entrance to the Prince Apts. It sells a huge range of spices, oils, peppercorns, tea, coffee and fresh Turkish Delight etc, like a little deli. The couple speak great English and they have fixed prices, no haggling. They encourage you to taste the goods as well

That shop is fabulous isn't it! I always buy my Turkish delight there, and usually end up sampling as much as I buy!! The loose stuff you select is much better quality than the pre-packed people normally go for in the bazaars.

They also have a small selection of diabetic turkish delight which is just as good as the normal stuff.

Definitely a place to visit while you're there.

We get our spices and Turkish delight there as well. Nice couple and realistic prices.

Just back and this shop appears to have closed! Anyone know if they have moved somewhere else or can you suggest a similar shop (not the Wednesday market)? Thanks
