Market Day is Wednesday.
Try to get there early,9am-10am its not as hot then or crowded, you may also be the first customer and get a special deal.

You can buy fruit, veggie, towels, jeans, handbags, watches, toys, everything and anything.
Shirts 3 for £10
T Shirts 8 for £10
Hanbags 3 for £10
dont be afraid to barter, make an offer they expect you to.

The market is an experience in itselfe with the shouts of

"Buy one get one Free"
"Cheaper Than Asda"
"Pay Next Year"
Are some of the phrases that will make you smile.

am i the only one who doesn't enjoy the market! maybe its because i dont go early enough but i just find its too hot and stuffy in there. and id rather get bargains for the little shops around in icmeler! however i do agree that some of the things they come out with are really funny!

There is one thing Dani. You wont have any trouble finding the market. They were tying their ropes to our apartment last year. If you want early bargains you can nip in before breakfast!

Dani

It might be worth taking an empty Suit Case as you'll probably end up buying that much stuff the one that you go out with will end up popping open on your return home !!
Get there early, a quick jump off your balcony !!!!!

Dont get carried away buying to much goodies unless you are willing to pay excess baggage at the airport on way home.

Postby neighbour » 27 Apr 2006 21:25

Hi Dani, re Fred Perry, just asked my son says never seen F.P. but just about every other make. Beware bad copies, Lacoste example croc's go swimming in wash when you get back. But don't be put off lots of bargains dont forget to barter, have a great time!

Hi Dani,

I can't comment on the clothes at the market, but there's plenty of clothes shops selling all the designer gear you could wish for. It's a good idea to give the goods a thorough check before buying cos some are much better quality than others. Last year I bought 4 lacoste polo shirts for about £25 in total and they've been a great buy. I think if they're much cheaper than that, they might be the ones where the croc goes for a swim in the washing machine, but no complaints about mine, hey, even my mates who are designer geared up to the eyeballs have never noticed that i'm sporting a couple of cheeky wee fakes  Also bought a couple of good Diesel tops.

Have a great time, happy shopping!!

Groundhog day mr magoo.
I also bought 4 Ben Sherman shirts for £10 two years ago wear them often and they have been washed and ironed loads of times but still look like the bees knees.
As stated just look at what your buying there are some cracking bargains to be had.

We all know about Turkey and her fake gear but did you know that more fake stuff is made in England than Turkey.
