Akyaka

Postby Mags23 » 13 Jul 2008 01:15

Has anyone visited Akyaka, my OH thinks it would be an ideal holiday, but I'd rather Icmeler and visit Turunc for a few quiet days, are there any trips that just go to Akyaka we'd would like to see it, just don't fancy the full day trip that starts about 9am, (we don't like going out much before about 10.30- 11 am) any suggestions, we are a bit nervous about using public transport,

we always try to visit Akayaka, it is more of Turkish resrot not as many brits, etc. beach is very nice and we usually spend a few fruitless hours fishing off the jetty, the river is nice to. not as in your face as Icmeler or Marmaris, there is also an open air cinema...not been there yet though. the local wooden fronted houses are interesting. We usually hire a car from Ali and drive there too.

Steve if you want to catch fish then walk around to the cliff where the diving board is and try there as we always get plenty

If it is a day trip[ bookable through an agency then these usually leave 9ish so if you want to get there under your own steam at a time that suits I would suggest taking the dolmus to Marmaris then taking the Akyaka dolmus from there.
