Eat out at what time?

Postby skilly » 22 Jun 2008 15:28

When we go to Icmeler, we usually like to go self catering and may have our breakfast in the apartment.
I was just wondering what time of day people like to eat their main meal in Icmeler.
We have tried eating about 8pm but we feel too full the rest of the night to enjoy ourselves.
When we have been sunbathing it is too hot to eat anything only snacks.
I personally like to eat about 5 or 6pm, relax for a couple of hours and go out later say 9pm.
What does everyone else think?

We usually get showered and ready by 6 then have a stroll for 1 or 2 quiet drinks, and usually have our meal anytime around 7 - 7:30. Usually okay for the evening of drinking and entertainment.

I know what you mean though, sometimes, just a piece of toast and jam would be suffice.

When we go back in October, we are not going to eat early for the sake of it, and maybe just grab a kebab or something on the way back to our Apartments as we usually stay up for a few drinks anyway. I think sometimes we eat just for the sake of 'its time to eat' rather than being hungry.

We always go self catering and usually eat around 7pm, some nights we just have light snack to put us on then after a few efes and glasses of lions milk find the nearest kebab and take back to the apartments to enjoy on the balcony with a nice cold efes to wash it down :D

It depends on the time of year we go:-

September/October start getting ready at 17:30-18:00 and out to town about 19:30 for a meal, July August it's normally later as the kid are still in the pool until 19:00 so normally eat about 21:00.

I like to go out and have a nice long leisurely lunch, one of the best parts of being on holiday for me. I usually have a snack at the apartment before we go out for the evening then get a kebab on the way home. I find it hard drinking and dancing after a meal I tend to just want to go to sleep after I've pigged out :D

We go end July and usually we choose where to eat the nigh before, go out around 8 and after we have eaten we have a walk around and choose the next nights eating place before settling down for drink before heading back to our apartments. Di.

we eat at 8.30 onwards - only cos the worst bit of the day for me is getting ready to do out after having had a lovely relaxing day
I wish sooooo much that I could just to a "Mr Ben" and stand there, arms outstretched and be changed & ready to go!!

Usually get to the bar for a cold efes around 8.00 and then head off to a restaurant for our evening meal. This is a big part of the holiday for us. Really love the food in Icmeler.

We like to go to the Magic Garden for a drink first, then head on to our chosen restaurant for about 8.45pm.

Eat out at what time?

Postby jivebunnie0 » 22 Jun 2008 20:16

We usually have a fairly light lunch - fruit or a toastie....then after a hard afternoon at the beach, go back to the hotel around 5.30, shower and crash for about an hour and a half. Start to get ready 7-7.30'ish and head off for our evening meal around 8.30pm.

After eating we have a good walk with husband dragging me away from the jewellery shops  then we find a bar around 10pm as everything starts to liven up..... oooooohhh I can't wait

One of the reasons we don't eat early is because it can be a bit quiet, I do find that at 8 ish the place starts to liven up

Robert we don't eat early and retire early. We just go back to the apartment to relax to digest our meal and then go out later until 1am approx :D
Like someone said earlier I can't drink and dance on a full stomach, I just feel like going to sleep.

we eat between 6 and 7pm , as we dont really do lunch, and last year there was 12 of us, so if we didnt go early enough, we couldnt get a table to fit us all on.....

if we didnt have the children with us, we would proberbly eat a little later...

We go self catering every year and we tend to like urself have r breakfast in the apartment and then maybe an afternoon snack.

Weve found if you go for your dinner around the same time over in turkey as u would have ur dinner over here and drink water with ur meal instead of beer that helps.

Im of to icmeler in 5 wks and cant wait

TINSLE: Can you please not use text style language i.e. R, U UR etc
thanks
