Favourite Meals in which Restaurants

I know we all have our favourite places to eat .
The big question is for you "Icmelerites",
Which restaurant do we think is the best for :-
Fish?
Steak?
Lamb Shanks ?
Indian?
Chinese?
And not forgetting Traditional Turkish Cuisine .

My favourite restaurant for that something a little bit different is the Love Boat, especially for the starters. I always have the pate, or the Love Boat special soup, or the Parma Ham and melon, which I haven't seen anywhere else. I've also had Pork Chops from there, which again, you don't usually see very often.

For Chinese food I like the Majestic on the canal, I also like their steaks.

To be honest I have not had that many bad meals, I have my favourite places just like everyone else, I think often it is a matter of preference

Hi the best chinese has to be the Majestic! Best Sunday lunch i think is the Chef ( you need to book ) and best fish in salt is Red Lion

The best Indian has to be the Taj Mahal - my mouth is watering just thinking about the cheese and onion naan bread!!! Yuuum.

Steaks in Chef are fantastic and the Chicken Cacciatore in The Prince is to die for.

My personal favourite is Set restaurant and the blue cheese steak, a lovely tender steak covered with a blue cheese sauce, but I've never had a bad meal in the 12 years I've been going to Turkey. Also love the lamb wraps from the Tasty Corner and - and - and - could keep going. Wherever you go you'll probable have a great meal, just look at this forum and you'll understand we all have our favourites.

lamb shank in the moonlight last year was to die for. two weeks to go before we taste it again. have decided going there first night

Gene had said in another post that the chef has now changed at the Moonlight. We were also looking forward as it is also a favourite of ours.

Yes lynda , the Moonlight was one of our favourites a couple of years ago, but when the place extended & a couple of the staff went to the Selen the place just wasn't the same. Have you tried the Chef.

No Denis we haven't is that beside the LoveBoat if not could you please let me now were it is as we are going to try lots of new places this year and would add it to our to do list.

Yes Lynda the Chef is next to the Loveboat
Good food, good service & a nice atmosphere not expensive but not the cheapest in town.

The Romance do a mixed Turkish Kebab, nothing like you get here, it's a proper meal, meat balls, Adana, Chicken, lamb and Beef with Chips and veg and very nice it is to

Usually only eat in Dreamboys but have to say that their "Leg of Lamb" is special, like most places needs to be ordered 24 hours in advance.

It just falls off the bone.

My favourite has to be the waterfall. Love the garlic mushrooms and never had a bad meal in their once. Will be my first port of call when I arrive in August.

I'm starving reading this, and can smell my lamb roast cooking, I like the sound of the lamb wraps from the tasty corner which mags23 mentioned, but I don't know where it is?

Like a lot of us have said bad meals don't seem to exist in Icmeler, but I did like The Jasmin when I was there in May, not posh but very clean and marvellous food and service. Love the Chef too and lighthouse, can't wait to get back there in july

Only been in the Chef once but found the food trollets that they were pushing around got very annoying as they kept bumping into my chair.

"Goodness Gene is that the best you can do moan about a food trolley"

Meal ok though.

It's worth going to the Chef to use the toilets! Padded seats, sewing kit, hairbrushes, spray deodorant... you need it, it's there!!

PS - food's very good too! But if you're there in high season you do need to reserve a table (or face a fairly long wait).
