Beach or Pool

Postby robbo » 20 Jun 2008 22:05

Hi all, just wondering where you like to sunbathe, before or daughter came along we always went to the beach to sunbathe but find that staying round the pool and close to our room is more practical with a child. Have to say i prefer the beach, the atmosphere around the beach at denis kapisi was special until the police started to crack down on the noise during the day, Also think you tend to get a better tan at the beach thats my opinion whats yours

hi robbo :D

its the beach for us everytime :)

the pools tend to be really crowded, well they were in the hotels we have stayed in,,

plus a lot of people will not pay for a sunlounger,at the beach,so it tends to be a little bit quieter..

plus you do not have to get out of bed at daft, oclock in the morning,to put your towels out,i have seen people putting there towels out,at 5 am..

I wouldn't mind going to the beach if they would remove all that sand stuff it gets every where.

Beach every time for me, the sea is cooler nice places for lunch, less crowded etc.

People say the sand is not so good, I have seen worse, whilst not soft white sand it is OK

We spent more time on the beach last year because it was very very hot. at least you could get an umberella which you can't always by the pool.

That is what they say, but think of more gritty sand, it is not bad at all

Its the beach for us for a variety of reasons, as someone said before you get fed up with the same people grabbing the same sunbeds and thinking its their right to that sunbed for the rest of the day or holiday just cos they've put a towel on it whether they are on it or not

Give me the beach anytime, you can watch the water sports and boats and see a bit of life. I also enjoy the walk to the beach & grabbing an Efes on the way back

I also think you get a nicer tan 8)

We always go by the pool but when we go out wether something to eat or just going for a walk we always take our towels with us just wish other people would do the same, one year we went on holiday and if towels were left unattended for more than 30 mins they had a big basket that the staff would put them in and what was written on the side of the basket the SIN BIN very embarrassing if you had to retrieve your towels as it was in full view of everyone hopefully they would get the idea I wonder if any places in Icmeler do that.

well I rather like the pool myself as the beach isnt all that nice but having my son the last few years I always had to go to the beach as he always runs everywhere and would be dangerous around the pools edge. But this time on holiday he was fine around the pool as hes older and more confident in the pool and knows not to run no more. Not to mention being at the beach the other day I burnt my feet on the sand as it was sooooo hot!!

I like the beach but tend to sit around the pool so that we can keep an eye on our Niamh much easier.

Might get to go to the beach in September as it is just hubby and I going.
