Where is Joe's? Thats my husbands name & I would love to take a pic when we go.
We went to St Ives years ago and I took a pic of him in a street called Teetotal St :D

joes is a new bar just down from were the Old Famous Kitchen used to be and on the same road as the Miray and Blondies Bar.

Valentino is the new name for the Baron Bar but still the same guy on front.
Blue Rainbow has this new restaurent on the side and also puts on entertainment.
Sylvias is the old Rainbow restaurent up in the old village.
The one with the Sky Sports banner is the new Linaker bar on the front near the Laguna.

I'm confused, the Doruk, looks remarkably like part of the old Lion Bar which has been called First Moon????? Has it been separated into 2 now? :? :? :?

Oh that is bad news about the blue rainbow bar/restaurant....it was just opening when we were there and we said we would give it a try in September.... I'm not so sure now I know who is running it and will be giving it a very wide berth

Please dont pre-judge the restaurent.
I understand Ya Ya from the Dreamboys brother is involved in this new bar and the entertainment that apears at the International Dreamboys apears here as well so quality entertaiment is guaranteed.
I didnt manage to get in this restaurent but noticed it had quite a lot of customers so please give it a chance.

well said Gene
we'll give anywhere a chance, until we get hassled
I would have thought that if the place is new, they'll go/be all out to make sure that a good night's had by all

Just unpacking the suitcase following a great holiday at the Blue Rainbow. The holiday was made even better by the welcome, the quality of the food and the entertainment by the friendly team at the Blue Rainbow bar. The team put on a good entertaining show.

The new law about hassling by any bar is being strongly enforced. When we arrived several bars had been closed for 3, 7 or 21 days as a result of hassling offences. The rule now is that they can attract your attention but bar staff cannot come into the road to speak to you.

This was our sixth visit in three years and I am already looking to book the seventh.

Sylvias

Postby helen2904 » 03 Jul 2008 20:57

Can anybody tell me if there is a new restaurant/bar where Sylvias used to be up in the old village. I understand Sylvias new restaurant is opposite the Garden Centre.

Sylvia still has the old bar in the old village but she has opened another one opposite the garden centre, just up the road from Turbos

Sue, Thanks for the info on Sylvias, much appreciated. We used to go a lot to the old bar when it was Sammy Davis Bar
