I was thinking of doing the same before going in August so I'm getting a small kit to try first, my back mainly I'm frightened to death about my chest. I'll let you know the results. Kids and missus can't wait to test it the evil cows.

I'm not I've got a carpet on my chest and back. Now I let my wife shave my back and i keep my chest trimmed.
Waxing tried that and bled, cried and screamed won't do that again .

yeah i tried a kit at home on my hubbie and he nearly cried and it bled.
I then tried hair removal cream, once on he said it was tingling alot, i told him to stop being a big girl and shut up. Turned out i gave him chemical burns on his shoulder blades from the hair removal cream
Am now called the
cow!!!

You'll be ok str8 after. I used to work as a Drag Artist so had to wax and did a few weeks in Gran Canaria working I was fine sunbathing.

Hi All,
Thanks for all of the advise gang, still don't know what to do. There's nothing as bad as you wife putting suncream on you back and requiring a scissors to get her hand untangled. Pity it doesn't recede with age.

Ok I tried it last night. I just bought some wax strip thingys, cost 2 quid for 20 strips. Not very pleasent but not half as bad as I'd thought it would be. To be honest it wasn't really that painful on my back it was a different story on my chest though I don't think I'll do my chest again in a hurry. Wife and kids loved torturing me though so at least they had some fun

another option would be to go to one of the barbers in icmeler. i've seen a couple of men having their backs and shoulders shaved and they did a very thorough job of it and I don't imagine it's expensive.
if you opt for waxing, don't worry about the pain, women make it out to be a lot worse than it is. 3 of us at work had our chests waxed a few years ago for comic relief and all the girls at work were wetting themselves in anticipation saying we wouldn't be able to handle the pain but to be honest it was a walk in the park....now catching your wee man in your zip well girls, that is pain
