I too saw them whilst on a boat trip in Tenerife. I will admit I actually cried

and took lots of photos of them though the majority of them turned out like dots in the sea

I was surprised by the feel of them. I would have expected them to feel a bit "fishy", but it's more like wet plastic - sort of. I would love to swim with them again one day as it was superb and It made me feel very priviledged and honoured somehow. It's hard to describe.

I have swum with dolphins twice fulfilling one of lifes dreams and was awestruck they are totally amazing and highly intelligent. It would make me sick to my stomach if these beautiful creatures are going to be exploited by the Turkish people. Please God they are not!

I would certainly not swim with them if they were being exploited. They are beautiful free creatures and should not be captured + caged.
Stories like this really outrage me. If everyone boycotted these evil people and their barbaric "business" it would not happen. Unfortunately not everyone thinks like us.

it was in the paper the other week they have captured them and are there so people can swim with them they are charging £50 for adult and £47 for child. They are all scared as they are fighting with each other and the owners are being crul to them please do not go near them as they are being treated badly thanks.

Hi
I've just come back from a week in Ic and there is apparently a dolphinarium on the beach between Ic and Marnaris where you can pay approx 80 euros to swim with them... Didn't confirm this but it came froma reliable source!!!
05 Jun 2008 15:36
when we were there last week we enquired and they refused to tell us
05 Jun 2008 20:17
Is it possible for some one to confirm this as my OH would love to swim with them. Only id they're being treated properly.
05 Jun 2008 21:32
I sooooooo hope that they've NOT got dolphins penned in
that would be commercialism at it's lowest
if they have, I'll be penning a strongly worded letter to authorities in Icmeler/Marmaris voicing my objections

Hi, It was my friend who wrote the article about the dolphins in Bodrum so when i read this i phoned her and asked her to investigate and they are being trained to help children with disabilities, am very happy about this as i was going to plan a rescue mission and i don't think Rami would appreciate bailing me out of jail
06 Jun 2008 12:50
Prices are steep though for a 10 minute swim 80 euro, that's about £65
