buy now or wait?

Postby thomson785 » 04 Jun 2008 19:45

just been looking at the exchange rate and today i see the best rate of 2.30 to the £ :!:

So should i buy now or wait a few more weeks to see if it rises anymore. We are gonna take OH nationwide card but i like to have a couple of hundred on us to get us started without having to panic about finding an atm.

Also should we exchange in resort to getter a better price?

Just keep thinking the more i get to the £ the cheaper the efes :!:

Hi thomson785, I'm just taking enough to see me through the first day and then change money when wer'e out there as you get a much better rate, especially from the supermarkets. :)

I'm with Cheriton on this too.... just take enough lira to see you through the first day, you'll get a much better exchange rate out in resort.

Don't forget you can change money pretty much anywhere, you don't have to use the change offices - a good place I always use is the supermarket in the centre next to the chill bar where you can change english money or travellers cheques at a good rate.
You will also see exchange rates posted up in many of the restaurants.

Taj Mahal in marmaris last year were offering 2.57 if you ate there. I'd changd mine at home before I went but if I'd known it was that good I would of waited.
