Does anyone know if First Choice weigh your hand luggage.

We travelled with First Choice last August and they didn't weigh hand baggage

Was just wondering because they Have merged with Thompsons, and I have heard Thompsons do and are quite strict. But that's a relief to know they don't.

Was flight ok Dotty?

Yes great flights, excellent service, definitely no problems with them. We travelled twice with them last year and no delays whatsoever. This year going on 7 June with British Midland and have never travelled with them before.

Thanks Dotty.

Hope you enjoy your holiday.

Hi,
going off subject a little bit but my question is this?
If you pack two persons allowance in one suitcase what is the heaviest weight it is allowed to be?
Just asking as son, daughter and two kids are only taking two suitcases and I'm sure I've read somewhere about weight limits.

They are flying with First Choice.

You will be better of checking on the Frequently Asked Questions page on first choices website, but I think no individual case can be over 32kg, I think this health & safety for baggage handlers.

Be careful at Dalaman, they weighed our hand luggage and charged us £6 per kilo over allowance, it's a rip off, don't mind paying for over weight but £6 is being greedy.

Many a true word spoken in jest!
I heard very recently that in the U.S. that some airlines are considering weighing baggage & passengers due to soaring fuel costs.
It has always confused me that we are charged £6/kilo for over weight luggage , they say it is because they need more fuel in order to carry the exta weight, but I weigh 12 stone & the guy behind me weighs 20 stone , so what is it all about. :? :?

At Mcr last year they weighed the luggage and we were overweight and they weighed the hand luggage and thats the one and only time we had to pay excess charges but we always panic about it leaving from Dalaman, but left so much stuff behind that we were under weight coming back from Dalaman.

I imagine this year will be the same we're flying with Onur airlines this year.
