ICR lazy day cruise

Postby cheriton » 27 May 2008 22:55

We wan't to go on the ICR lazy day cruise this year, except we have a small problem. My eldest daughter has not got a very good pair of sea legs and the thought of spending all day on a boat slightly disturbs her. Does anybody know what size boat we would be going on? Any photo's would be good............and no funny ones like pictures of the titanic please.   We went whale & dolphin watching of the coast of lanzarote a few years back on a smallish catamaran and it got a little choppy out there, she didn't enjoy it one bit. We have told her it would't be like that as does'nt go right out to sea, but she still needs to be convinced.

Hi cheriton
The boat normally used hold quite a few people, but ICR limit their`s to 30. that way there is plenty of room for all. Take a look at this link for some photo`s of a ICR boat trip. http://www.icmeleronline.com/forum/view ... light=boat

Hi cheriton I can sympathise with your daughter as I to get very sea sick.Have even been known when we were on holiday in Spain to get off at the first stop and make my own way back to the resort it was that bad.But after many years listening to the family moaning at me in Icmeler to do a boat trip.I gave in and 2 years ago I went on one, all I can say is it was brillant and now we all (me included) look forward to a boat trip ever year. The boats are a good size and they don't go terrible fast just a nice steady pace.Pick a boat which doesn't pack the people in ICR would be a good one.

Hi stevew & ochlynda, thanks for your replies. We'll definately be booking with ICR as they don't cram on the people. Just need to convince the daughter now. If she doesn't go voluntarily she'll be presganged and keel hauled!

Hi Cheriton
our#1 daughter has the same problem
we just get some sea sick tablets and she takes a couple before we set off
they knock her out so we just keep her topped up with sun cream and keep flipping her over

no worries John. your typo made her laugh so much!!
when she was little, she couldn't say cupboard and said bug*er instead, so she's in absolute fits now every time someone mentions the word

pity you won't get to meet her when we come over - she's the very happy mum of our beautiful little grandson now and he'll be too small for the Icmeler heat this year :(
