BEST RESTAURANT DEBATE..................

Postby LJM » 13 May 2008 20:19

Come on guys, really, what is the best of the best restaurants in Icmeler? Best food & best service - without the cheesiness!

I am very tempted to say Love Boat, always had excellent meals there, and food that is al ittle bit different to what is offered in all the other restaurants in Icmeler - what do you think?

Head out on Friday and can't wait!! Anyone else going on Friday?

It's a toss up between the Lighthouse and the Olive Tree for me, but I also like the Love Boat... meals have always been superb in all and the service excellent, but it's tricky to choose just one favourite!

I fly out on Monday, so just a few days after you... can't belive it's finallyl here, sooo excited!

I head out on Friday too!!! :D

Tried the lighthouse in September and the lemon tree, both lovely, I like the Chef too, and mandalin, and the one above the cartier estate agents, can't remember it's name. The Goran, which is very relaxed, no cheesiness and traditional turkish kebabs, pide's lamachun, mmmmm! etc ,not fancy but food great!

I agree that Love Boat is one of best places to eat, the presentation of the food is fantastic. I also think that titanic is a fantastic place to eat the lamb for two on a sunday is to die for. We are heading out to Icmeler on the 23rd for 2 weeks we cant wait

It's got to be the Love Boat. It's different and has the edge on all the other great places to eat in Icmeler.

Hi Dodgy, where's the Wayside please? My lists getting longer and longer, :D Luckily I'm going on Friday for a week and then in September for ten days, so hopefully can try all the recommended ones. I do love the Chef, and lots of others, but have never tried the Loveboat, or Wayside, but now i definately will after all the lovely reports.

Cheers!x

Reckon its the Wayside. Hamdi and Ozkan (ex Loveboat) run a pretty tidy shop. Always made very welcome and the food is to die for.The Sempati at the Sevgi Apartments come a close second ( across from the Pinewood aparts) Can't wait till we go back in August.

There was a thread running in April "whats your favourite restaurant"
I have picked the most popular from the replies, so I know where we will be eating every night. The only decision will be which one on which night.

Have a great holiday LJM

We go Friday too  8) I can't wait either.

We are flying from Humberside.

hi icmelerers i find one of cleanest eating houses and value for money is the okimo rest/bar (jimmys) a very pleasing guy. tuborg beer also its the only bar i drink draught beer in icmeler. all his food is delivered fresh each day and all local growen veg. pension ida cafe /bar is also good value . in two weeks time myself & 12 of my friends will be at the diva hotel. we have gone for 10 yrs twice a year now love it down with the euro ,up with the lira and the turks. enjoy bill atkinson blaydon on tyne
