Beach boys Ibrahim and Osman

Postby bill atkinson » 09 May 2008 09:33

Does anyone know Ibrahim and Osman? They are on the beach in front of the Blue Rainbow and Elif. They are the best beach boys in Icmeler and its always the cleanest part of the beach. Anybody there now, please let them know Bill and Jean and 10 others are coming 31st May, ta.

Yes, I know Ibrahim too - as you both say, great guy and Bill, you're right, it's definitely the cleanest part of the beach, they all work so hard to keep it spotless!

I'm flying out in a weeks time, so if I manage to remember will pass your message on!

Hi Womble

Yes they keep that stretch of beach immaculate - they work so hard! They clean the sunbeds every day ready for the sunbathers, fetch drinks, food, and anything else you want or need all day - you just need to ask and you never have to wait ages to grab their attention! They regularly empty the bins regularly and pick up bits of litter that people drop on the sand, rake the sand over to keep it even... day in, day out in baking tempratures!

When you get to the beach they escort you to your chosen sunbed, lay the towel out on the bed for you and hang your bag up for you, they keep an eye on the gipsies roaming the beach selling fruit and make sure anyone buying doesn't get ripped off and I've even seen them offer to take crying baby in buggy up onto the path and walk around with it until it goes to sleep. They quite often even provide a bit of beach entertainment late afternoon.

You get the sand washed off your feet on leaving the beach, and for the bargain price of 1 lira you can leave your towel with them when you leave, they'll get it washed and dried and ready for you to use the next day! Brilliant!

Ibraham also works in the Sultan jewellers in the night time.

Blimey, I've gone on a bit there, but after several years of trying different parts of the beach, I'm sooooo glad we've found the best spot!

What more can anyone say mazz, you have hit the nail on the head bout the guys. They certainly do look after you. Anything you need to know about the resort Ibrahim as contacts. he was very good last year, not to say he isn't always. We took my and and 2 of his mates with us and they got into a bit of bother with some turkish waiters in a bar, my son had his shirt ripped, he went to find Ibrahim at the jewellers and he was then bought back to our hotel by him. He looks at for you!!

Can not fault them at all. We always go to their part of the beach.

Of course, how could I have forgotten Michael! I don't think he was around much last September when we were there. I was just trying to remember the name of his bar - Cubana isn't it? Lovely to know he's settled down and now has a family. That heat couldn't have been much fun for you while you were pregnant! It was hotter than I'd ever know it!

Jan would be fine on that bit of beach - as there's a sand bank there you have to go out quite a way out before it's even up to your hips (another reason I like it there)

I remember a guy called Faik near there, he was very helpful, and chatty  went to get food for us and made sure we had beds by the sea etc. They're all so helpful and it's cheap for the service.
