As far as I know you can take food and drink into Dalaman airport when it hasn't been purchased in the airport. Last year a family took a 2ltr bottle of pop into the airport and onto the plane! lol

I took 4 cans or Efes in a small cool bag into the airport, drank two while waiting in departures and another one on the plane, the last one I drank at home the following day.

Liquid restrictions at airports I believe are due to an EU mandate although some other countries have adopted the same policy Turkey have not done so as of yet.

Had no problem taking drinks through Dalaman - the only place they still seem to be strick on maximum of 10 items of 100ml in hand luggage (in see-through reselable bag) is here

It's not just here it's all of the EU countries and it's not changing, in the last couple of months I have flown from the following cities and they all check the liquids.

Zurich
Basel
Paris CDG
Dublin
Tampere
Copenhagen
Helsinki
Dusseldorf

Great I'll take a few bottles of pop and water with us - grieved me having to pay 4 or 5 lira for a tiny bottle of water last year at Dalaman.

Will make up some rolls to eat on the plane - or see if we can get them from somewhere in resort before we go.
