However, we hired a gullet for ten of us from Marmaris, and all had the most fantastic day, barbeque on board, and swimming in beautiful bays, even the teenagers say it was the highlight of the holiday, result! :D

I see from this site that ICR arrange boat trips and look good, so I would definately recommend a boat trip with limited numbers.

Yeah we're hoping to be going on a boat trip, we went on one last year when we went, and it was brilliant (after the rubbish one in Greece) - we made sure before we booked we'd definately get a lounger and was told if we didn't we'd get a full refund and they'd pay for us to eat out that evening. No need it was fantastic.

Not everyones cup of tea I'm sure but for us it was lovely to just totally relaxing and not doing a thing other than soaking up the sun and the sights - oh and going for the occasional dip in the sea to cool down.

Shall have to see our ICR rep when we get there and see what trips take our fancy - 5 weeks to go 8)

Favourite trip/day out

Postby Trish » 27 Apr 2008 21:22

Me too Beau, I loved it! I go in 3 weeks but neither of my friends are happy sea goers, so I'll wait until September when I go with my husband and think about it again.

I must make an effort to do a cultural trip, but once I'm relaxing by the pool or on the beach I find it so difficult to think about anything more than deciding where to eat that night!

I am a history buff and love anything to do with history and last year we went to Altinkum and the Temple of Appollo one of the wonders of the world is only a couple of miles away but we got caught up in the holiday that much we just never got around to it.
