Postby doublemorgans » 23 Apr 2008 19:14

has anybody ever tried a swordfish kebab in icmeler and if so where was it? visited for 1st time last year, and veggie boyfriend fancied trying 1 but were just too many good restaurants and only there for 10 days.

going again 14th june for 12 nights and staying at the rhodes and he definitley wants to try 1 this time. i dont remember seeing any on the menus but have got rubbish memory. any help much appreciated.
hes not that keen on fish but likes tuna and salmon, is it similar in taste to that?
thanks.

I love swordfish and always have some whilst in Icmeler, and I don't really like fish either. It's hard to describe the taste really, but I'd plum for a cross between Chicken and Pork maybe ? with a softer texture.

One of the nicest ways to eat swordfish, is to simply barbecue it, and serve it with lots of lemon and a fresh salad. Yum

I could be wrong but beach barbecues around the resorts are not allowed.

Something to do with not allowing fires or something.

We do use the facilities on Gypsy Beach for this type of thing and all cooked for us
