The New promenade will run from the bridge at he canal to the Joy Hotel.
ZAZa has had a new windbreak fitted for the first couple of weeks of the holiday season and is also renting cycles for those who would like to pedal along the new prom.
I was the first this season to taste one of Havana Bars English breakfasts,
it was superb.

I like it, I think it looks nice, but I guess will be better to see it for real. Roll on May 30th.

Is it just me or do all the pillars and Romanesque stuff look a little tacky? Will have to see it in the flesh though

I seen it last week and the photos do no justice-it is going to look fab when its finished, its all being painted white-not the colour thats on the pictures attached. It was nearly all finished last week they just had to finish the path and finish painting. I also think that the locals and residents all have very positive comments on it and its these guys who are the main priority. Its going to be lovely.

Hi Doz,
the pics were taken in march all work was on going and nothing was completed.
But just a point on the colour,The base coat is white then they apply a ground coat then again a top coat to give it that worn aged look.
this is the finished look below.

The top picture shows after the base coat of white, then the ground coat

Image

The bottom picture shows after the finishing coat and this gives a general idea of the colours and how things will look.

Thats unless the council didnt like the look and decided to paint everything white.
I think the new promenade will grow on us and after a couple of holidays we will never remember how it used to look.
