I have just had an email from my friend Claire who lives in Icmeler, with the bad news that there could be a Macdonalds opening in Icmeler. As she quite rightly points out it could hit the existing restaurants. They are trying to make it more like Marmaris every day. I wish I could turn the clock back 15 years

Knowing the way the council works out there it will probably be right on the beach front- you know the spare bit of land next to Yakomosa, next to the Munamar Hotel or right in the middle of the square. Like you i would prefer it to be right out of site- preferably in Dalaman airport so as not to ruin our Icmeler. Where is the worst place you would like it? On the canal!!! Thats the sort of thing I would expect of Icmeler council.

It is all rubbish food anyway so would not bother the restaurants in Icmeler as that is all quality food.
