Food was excellent in Red Lion in 2007 (ex Alvaro Chef) and Gogo and Erkan made the service excellent too but Gogo did say he'd be with Ozcan (Alvaro Owner) this year so i presume the chef and Erkan will be going as well as they all seem to stick together.

Hi Everyone

Just to let you know that Erkan will not be at the Red Lion this year as he and his family have opened a new Bar/Fun Pub in Aydin where he comes from.

The Red Lion was the first bar we discovered last year in Icmeler - we had walked down from our accommodation at the back of the Old Village. It was about 10 am, the heat was getting to us and we needed to stop somewhere and get rehidrated  and GoGo and Chia were there. What a laugh we had with them :D and Chia came back to collect us at night and take us down for a meal and to enjoy the evening's entertainment. Unfortunately we didn't enjoy the meal that much (wrong choice possibly) and as it was our first night we wanted to explore a bit and left just after the entertainment began. We went back in once through the day and again one night but didn't eat there, and really didn't stay long enough to appreciate the atmosphere; which is lovely and friendly. Each time the staff and the owner were excellent hosts and this year I fully intend to spend a full night enjoying their food and their company, and I'm really glad that GoGo is going back because he's a star
