Bonzo...... we've been to the turkish bath at armutalan....its excellent.
I cant remember where we booked it, other than it was included for those who wanted it when booking a jeep safari....not through ICR though  You can book a massage after the turkish bath as an extra, and I can thoroughly recommend it.mmmmmmm bliss :)

As is always I'm sure ICR will oblige, if asked.

A Turkish Bath is a must at the beginning of your holiday.

Basically you sit in a large marble room get very hot then have an all over rub down to remove any dead skin then you get lathered up all over then onto the massage - absolute heaven and you're relaxed for the rest of your holiday then.

If you leave it until the end of your holiday, you could loose some of your tan !!!

We booked our Turkish bath through ICR last year (I won mine in a quiz on here) myself, hubby and 3 kids. We really enjoyed it. I was a bit worried to start with about what to wear and as I am the only female in the party I was also a bit worried about being taken off on my own but I didn't need to have worried as everyone goes into the pool, sauna room, rub down room etc all together. it was very relaxing. it was at one of the hotels in Icmeler but I can't for the life of me think what it was called. They have a pampering room where you can have a facial, manicure, pedicure etc. The only thing that they try to get you to buy is some photographs that they take of your party on your way through, they are quite expensive and we didn't buy any but they wasn't pushy about them. They even dropped us back of at our apartment at the end as well. If I remember rightly it cost about £8 and took about 2 hours. We were advised to go early in the morning as when the day wears on they get tired and you don't get such a good scrub down! Hope this helps. Di.

We also booked last year for the Turkish Bath through ICR and found it a truely wonderful experience.

We have one at the start of our main holiday in July. Soooo relaxing and cleansing oh and great fun at the start when they let you loose with the water bowls puts water pistols in the shade   We use the one in Armatulan as well. Good start to the tan as all your dead skin is scrubbed away. The massage after is to die for leaves you all floppy and content. Better than any I have ever had in England.
Took a camera in on one visit. Pictures very blurry but will post them for you so you get an idea. :)

Hi all,

I know everyone has spoken Favourably about the Turkish Baths, but can any one tell me what the usual dress is.

My other half had one last year in one of the local places by some one who also worked on the beach.

My partner had to strip naked. This put me off having one, and he said he wouldnt go again. Nothin out of the ordinary hapened , but he just felt uncomfortable.

Has any one else had similar experiences??

Hi Debbie. A friend of mine had a bad experience in the Turkish Bath under La Perla and it very nearly stopped us ever going again. We were recommended the one in Armutalan after that and very reluctantly went along. It put our bad experience to rest. They are great there. No need to worry.
Wearing your bathers is the norm. No naked bodies at all. If you do the massage after, the same follows. PM me if you want more details and I will explain in more depth. :) :)

Dont have any worries about your first (it will not be your last ) turkish bath. We and our friends always have one on the first day as someone said earlier you will lose your well earned tans. We have been to most in Icmeler, all were good. If your can stretch your finances I believe the best is in the Marti resort hotel.
Whichever you choose have one. After all it is part of your Turkish holiday.
