i thought it strange i hardly got bit last year as the mozzies love me and i'm fed up with the horrible scars i've been left with

thanks for that Gene, it makes the shortlist for countries to visit again so much shorter

We didn't get any bites last year in Icmeler. A good few years back we went to Dominican Republic - loads of the little bu_ _ ers and there wasn't any room left on my legs for the mozzi's to bite. It took ages for my wounds to heal. :?

I am like a virtual magnet for mosquitos - I've still got the scars from where I got badly bitten (and the bites became infected) during holidays in Spain. However, I only got one bite (on my shoulder) while in Icmeler, and the lemon spray stuff did the trick. I think I actually got bitten at the airport while waiting for our transfer to the resort, rather than in Icmeler itself. I was pleasantly surprised, as I normally get bitten to death, even when no-one else does. The little blighters make a beeline for me!

Mozzies normally love me, but the last few years I've not been bitten at all whilst in Icmeler!

Watch out on the beach though, even though I've managed to dodge every mosquito whizzing my way I've been caught at least once each holiday by a dozy wasp.... right in the chest! Pesky things... I always make sure i've got my anti histamine cream in my beach bag now!!!

I don't want to scare anyone, I'm not talking swarms of wasps, just you do see the odd ones!

Mazz

PS - one of the best creams I've found for any kind of insect bite (especially mozzy and wasp vareity) is Anthisan cream - you can get it in any chemist or supermarket here!! Slap it on after being bitten and it calms it down and stops the itch almost immediately.
