Just Back

Postby swc24 » 28 Aug 2007 22:08

Hi All

Just got back today after two weeks stayed at the Siesta Apart booked last min with ICR and could not fault them. All the staff were excellent and nothing was to much trouble for them.

The Champagne bar below was also excellent we had a few meals there and spent most afternoons there when the kids were in the pool, they even put the challange shield rugby final on the big screen for my wife. Again all the staff were very helpfull and a big mention to Yurda the boss and Alex for making our hol enjoyable.

The best meal we had this year was at the Olive Tree which is behind the ATM machines in the town center.

Went on the ICR boat trip on 19th and meet Redrhino and his family it was the best day of the holiday but we were the only two forum members on the trip even though a lot of other members had asked for the trip to be arranged

Did not do many trips this year as the temp was to hot up in the 50s a few days

On a poor note in the five years we have been going to Icmeler we have never seen any trouble in any of the establishments but this year it looked like some of the hooligans that have made parts of Spain and Greece a no go area for families are now finding there way to Icmeler hopefully the local police and council will stamp out the trouble before it goes to far.

Other than this Icmeler was as normal the perfect host for us.

One last word a BIG Thank YOU to all the staff from ICR for making are holiday as stress free as possible.

Hiya

We stay in the Siesta Apartments when we go over. We have never found a fault wrong with them and love to return everytime we go back. We have stayed in them once this year already and we will be returning in 17 days time.
The Champagne restaurant is a lovely place to be, especially for a cooling drink in the afternoon while having a break from being by the pool. The staff are great also.
Glad you had a fab time there.

Hi Steve,

Glad you and your family had a great time, and we enjoyed chatting to you in the Havanna bar that night. Must agree we saw one or two problems with the younger end, mainly in the boom, boom bars when we were passing by. Hot weather and drink is not a good mixture.

Hello Steve,

We were also on the boat trip on the 19th, we didn't book it until we got to Icmeler in case we changed our minds.

I would have introduced myself but i didn't know what you looked like although i think i recognised Redrhino from the members photo gallery.

Have to agree it was a great day out, some great swim stops and a good laugh on the Banana boat, even though i couldn't get back on it after they dumped us in the water.

We also saw some trouble in one of the bars and hoped it was just a one off.

Anyway we had a great time and look forward to visiting Icmeler again in three or four years time.

Regards Dave.

To be honest mate we spent most of the trip on the lower deck in the shade, it was really hot over there this year.
