Just come back from 2 weeks out there and can't rate this place highly enough, the food and service was great and Dave was fantasitc, a real star - one in a million, well worth a visit.

No, this Charlys is next door to Linekers, opposite Mandolin Restaurant... originally owned by Charlie (Murat) who owns Venice (hence the name!). Norman - to be honest i dont think ive been in Charlys for a meal since Charlie sold up! I go in occasionally for a drink as ive know Izzet for YEARS!!! never had a problem in the past though.

Thanks for that Beezerboy, we have also know Izet for years, nice lad very sensible. Just back myself from Cyprus so doing a bit of catching up at the moment.

Are you still commenting? I have been to Charley for years. The Guys who work will look after you all night with manners. (Don't know how they do it cos I would have lost the plot years ago ( Remember Everyone who enjoys a night in this bar that the men work all day without a break for money that you and I would not even get out our bed for. Respect Izzet and Co. Izzet If you ever read this Email You are the most perfect man and you are worth millions more than anyone you serve or have ever worked for. I hope you make it because you deserve it. Charley's is the best because of the men that make it.

We visited Charlys in May this year and have to admit the food was awful.We did complain and it was changed but even after the change it was still bad.The night we ate there quite a few people were complaining.Will definetly not be visiting here again.

You know, I love this debating about different places!! It would be a bit overcrowded if we all liked the same thing. I'm keeping a record of all the places mentioned in the forum so that I can go and make my own mind up in September and send in a report, I feel it is my duty to go and sample a few vodkas to see if they are up to scratch . As i said before it would be very monotonous if we all thought the same. this kind of debate is much more interesting

hi all simon here do not know if i have hit he wrong forum but if you are talking about charlies place opposite mrdunu chicken and up from bullshit he food is great and i am a fussy eater not a fortnight of efes and cheap febs. be aware there are 2 resteraunts sharing a similar name. we all have to decide what is good and what is poor but we have just returned and the food was spot on and charlie is the dogs whatsits please try this place and if you dont like it we have different tastes but honestley the food is spot one.

Hi everyone, just to clarify things, the Charlies I am talking about is next to Cartiers the Estate Agents. The Black Sea Restaraunt is above Cartiers.
Jemeel and Muslim are the owners. Izet is one of the waiters who also happens to be the brother of Ghenkis at Deniz Kapesi. Dave is on the front and he comes from Stockport. Nori the small guy who could do all sorts of accents left a while back and originally worked in Marmaris.
Charies Place is a different restaraunt up near Captain Bullshits, near to the Tanzas.
If you look at the picture on the web cam, that is the area that Charlies is in, just turn right as you look at the picture and you will come to the Black Sea Rest. Charlies is on that corner.

Must agree with Norman , we have been to this restaurant many times and have always been served an excellent meal with great service. Been using the restaurant for a few years now and everything has always been great.

I agree too, have been there many times and their English breakfast is brilliant and if you drink tea I can tell you its the best I've had in Turkey and it comes in a big mug not one of those silly wee cups.

just got back last week
and i practically lived in charlies restaurant knew the staff from the past times we have been in and couldnt complain about the food.
aswell as the staff always there checkin on you && will be visiting agen
next time im over

Hey, yes I must admit, Charly's is definately I must for dinner, the food is wonderful and excellent quality, proper thick steaks and home made thick chips, real bacon and sausages and English tea !!!

O curry chips on way back home ya have to do, and the pizza's arent the doughy crap you usually get but more like pizza hut thin crust, umm my mouth is watering!

I know you get sick of eating tourist food all the time eg. steak fisk chicken but here is something different, different tastes, and if you dont want that chargrilled taste all the time just tell them - No BBQ flame please!

This year they have put entertainment on after dinner (after around 10pm), got their own little Michael Jackson
