Newcastle - 20th August and security checks

Hello All -

I'm wondering, as so many of us are going to icmeler this august, if anyone happens to be flying out on the 20th from newcastle?

i'm travelling alone and would hate to have to sit in the airport on my own for a full 2 hours. i get bored when i have no one to talk to!!

also anyone have any idea how long the security checks are taking these days? i was already in icmeler when the carry on with glasgow airport happened last month so don't know how much longer they take.

Hiya weve flown out of Newcastle 3 times this year and the security checks arent taking that long at all. The airport staff are plentiful and they get you through in a few minutes I think the only real delay we had was when we landed back at Newcastle and had to queue for about 20 minutes to get through passport control.

shame were not going we would have had a natter no problem! Hope you have a lovely time

hi we flew from newcastle in june, the checkin time was three hours but we didnt really have any problems, make sure you pack all liquids in your case, (shampoo, shower gel etc) dont carry perfume over 100ml as you will have to leave it behind.the extra security checks are worth putting up with if it means we can visit our fav place. six weeks till we go back and counting the hours!!
