Holiday review

Hi everyone
Just back from another great holiday in Icmeler. Stayed at Rhodes apartments where Tango and family couldn't do enough for you. Lovely spacious apartments, massive pool and some nice scenery to take in. Would definately go back to this accommodation.
Papa P - Made Club Daystar our first stop about 5 mins after dumping cases. Teddy was having a game of pool with a guest and when we showed up he made his apologies to the guy and came and spent nearly an hour with us. Told him about the forum, he was chuffed to bits he was on the internet!!
Although the weather was very, very hot we managed to fit quite a bit into our 10 days. A jeweller friend of ours took an afternoon off and took us up to Cinar for a couple of hours, then showed us what I think is the riverside restaurant, which is beautiful. Unfortunately it's a little off the beaten track and we were the only ones there!!
Went on our usual boat trip, great fun and a totally lazy day. Also went on our first moonlight cruise, that was a bit different!
Enjoyed a few efes in the Magic Garden, what a lovely hideaway that is.
Also had a nice evening at the Metzien (not sure if that's how you spell it). It's a beautiful Turkish place just up from the Babadan apartments. There was Turkish music and a singer and the owner pulled grapes off the vine, washed them and gave them to you at the table, how fresh is that??
All in all, another fab holiday and only 50 sleeps to the next one! (Hopefully it will be just a little cooler then!)

Thanks to John, Sharon, Tracy & co for all their help in booking etc. Transfers were excellent, very competent driver, I could actually relax and enjoy the views!

Your holiday sounds so peacefull and tranquill, I really enjoyed reading it.
The Rhodes sound like a great set of apartments in scenic surroundings.
Glad to hear you had a nice time and already looking foreword to your next visit.

I believe Dianne and I are spending a day at The Rhodes Apartments in Sept, if I have the right place

Elkie, seems you had a great time. The Rhodes apartments look great, I loved the fact that the pool was never too packed and there was plenty of room around the sunbeds. I stayed at Club Daystar over the road so we walked past Rhodes every day and went over a few times for a drink and pool. I didn't know the names but I would agree, the hosts were lovely. If I'm not mistaken, isn't Rhodes only bookable through ICR?

Yes, Collette, moonlight cruise was lovely. My daughter and her boyfriend were staying at Kurt apartments and as long as you had a meal there Mr Kurt would let you go on the boat for free although I suspect they made plenty of money judging by the price of the drinks on the boat! It was a full moon and the reflection off the water was fantastic. The cool breeze was welcome too after 46 degrees during the day. About 11.30 a boat pulled up alongside and a belly dancer got on, the fellas all enjoyed that believe me But you always get one, don't you? One Danish guy, must've thought he was the Danish mafia, anyway, he was insisting which music was played, as it happens I quite like Chris Rea but some variety would've been nice.
Back in Icmeler for about 1am and, all in all, not bad for a freebie!
