fish and chip shop

Hi,

If you find the Blue Rainbow from the beachfront, just walk up the road which is 90 degrees from the beachfront. It is about 200 M up the road past the amelia and right across the road from the Hobgoblin bar

Hope this helps - I haven't tried the fish and chips, but it is a woman from Yorkshire who runs the shop

There are now actually 3 English fish and chip shops in Icmeler that I know of and they are ................. one facing the Buffalo bar near to the Blue Rainbow hotel, another facing the Tansas supermarket and the last one which is the latest to open in Icmeler is the "Liverpool chippy" around the corner from Richards Place

To be a little controversial, I would no longer dream of eating fish and chips whilst on holiday in Turkey when the local food is so good, I guess it’s horses for courses, but it’s not my cup of tea or bag of chips for that matter

I supose i'm guilty off that too i always look out for somewere that do's an english breakfast, i do like boiled egg's but am not a lover of olives or the Turkish cheees, and my other half is not to keen on my eating boiled egg's every day for obvious reason's. You are correct though Robert123 the turkish food is first class

Suppose there will be a mcdonalds and kfc soon then a burger king.
In the 12 years we have been going to Icmeler we have seen the burger joints going up in Marmaris and have said that when they go up in Icmeler we will never return.

Scousebabe

The Liverpool chippy is in the old village. From Tansas walk towarsd the Wayside, keep going for about 400 metres and you will see Deja Vu(used to be Richards Place) and the Liverpool chippy is about 100 metres past Deja Vu

Heaven forbid indeed, where's the adventure in going abroad, if you opt for English food?

You can have that anyday in this country, so come on try some of the turkish food - you wont be disappointed!

I agree with you all!!!!! We are in Turkey, eat the local food, prepared by our local friends, local resturant's. Let's not have Blackpool with the sun in Icmeler.

I would never have fish and chips in Turkey
If you are going all that way for an holiday at least try the Turkish cuisine, I would reccomend for anyone wanting Turkish Fayre to visit Christine at the Travellers Rest and try her Meat and Potatoe pie with chips and bisto gravy, finishing off with apple pie and cream.

Now that is to me a typicaly Turkish meal (to me it is).

Fish and Chips Indeed :!:
