Turkish Music - Please Help

Postby kazz59 » 25 Jun 2007 18:56

Hi there

I was wondering if anyone can help me. I run a karaoke/disco business and on Saturday I am doing a wedding for two friends of mine. The bride is English and the groom Turkish. They got married last September in Icmeler (in the Chef restuarant - it was a fantastic day) and now they are having a church wedding.

Quite a few Turkish people will be attending and I would like to make them feel more at home by playing some Turkish music for them. I have the obvious one i.e. Kiss Kiss, but could anyone tell me any more popular songs and I can download them off the internet.

Also does anyone know the name of the song that all the waiters do the Traditional Turkish dance to - I love that one but don't know what it's called.

Can you help please Rami ? or anyone else.

Thanks, Karen

Hi Gene

That "boat" would be perfect I think - we could pick up all the other guests on it as well.

Hey guess what ?, I've just had a brilliant idea - we could sail to Icmeler (any excuse) and pick up some more people, and have a superb party - GONNA NEED A BIGGER BOAT GENE.

Hi Lynne

Yes the wedding was on the 19th September and was at the Chef restaurant. Hayley was in full English wedding dress with veil etc and had 5 bridesmaids - she was nearly passing out with the heat.

It was a wonderful day, and after the meal etc - (which I had t-bone steak - how many weddings do you go to and that's on the menu), we all went on a pub crawl.

What a contrast this Saturday is going to be. The forecast is for heavy rain !!! welcome to England !!!
