Chinese food in Icmeler

Postby Norman » 04 Aug 2005 00:51

Seriously now and to perhaps cut this one stone dead. I like others on this site love Chinese quisine. But having tasted it in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan, apart from the Chinese quarters in large cities in the UK i.e. Leeds, Manchester and London, where you can see the Chinese are eating as well, I have not been impressed with any Chinese food when on holiday. We always try it though, like others do just for a change and still come away with the same opinion.
How many Chinese have you seen eating in Chinese restaurants in Icmeler? Turkey does have a large Chinese population, so where do they eat?

Gene,
Yes been in the one by the side of the Baron it's one of those all you can eat for £6 places. Did speak to the owner as well he's from mainland China, only speaks Mandarin, didn't understand too much Cantonese, so we spoke in English, he came straight to Turkey from there. All cooks were Turkish, food was not in the least fantastic. We had past it lots of times in the past, decided to give it a try this year, not impressed. Used to go in the Baron a lot when Ahmed (Al Fayed) was manager a couple of years ago, still keep in touch with him and his family.
As for problems posting, I dont know if you have noticed that even though when you submit an item, the pop up that tells you about De Bug Mode appears, if you just ignore it, your post appears as normal. If you click again, thinking that it didn't work, your post appears twice.
Maybe the Morons who have hacked the site have something to do with it, wish they would get a life somewhere else!!

We love trying the Turkish cuisine but sometimes its nice to have a night off. The chinese food in the Dream boys was delicious. I had a set meal, soup and sweet and sour chicken with rice for 17 YTL. Really good quality. One night we ate at the Old Famous Kitchen (first year) and one of our party had chinese and he raved about it! Have to say because of this web site we tried lots of new places for eating!
