Hi Nic :)

I have stayed at the Babadan Apartments 3 times. We stayed in an attic room 2 out of the 3 times we went there!!! I did not mind the attic rooms :D as I am only 5ft tall but my best mates boyfriend is 6ft 5 and he had to watch his head while in the appartment :( . The huge bonus to these rooms is that you get a great view of Icmeler and the balcony's are very private!

All of the staff are really friendly and helpful. When I went in on 11th May this year, (we did not stay here but it was on our route from our apartments to the 3(4)bells) they have moved the shop from the front of the apartments. There was a cafe bar near the shop previously but this now seems to be a more established restaurant as me & mum had a bit of hassel from them on a couple of occasions where as before it was like a pool side bar with no hassel. I can not think of the name of it now though!!!

When I am choosing an accomodation one of the first things I look at is the pool. I loved Babadan from the moment I saw its 2 pool :D !!! They are lovely!!! A little deep for me at 5ft but my boyfriend did a great job at Pool Taxi-ing me on his back to get me around the pool - ah bless him!!!!

I can not really comment on places that are Kid friendly as I dont have any!!! From my experience most places are kid friendly! The guys in the 3(4)bells are always up for messing around with children!!! Venice down by the canal has a childs play area in the corner and so does the Lemon Tree down the road oposite the 3(4)Bells!!!! The 3(4)Bells is easily accessible from Babadan Apartments. When at reception leave the apartments and go left, at the end of the road go right and follow this round until you see the main road to your right. The bar on the left is the 3(4)Bells!!!!

I hope this has helped!!!! Have a wonderful holiday and we look forward to hearing all about it on here upon your return!!! Travel Safely. Oh I am really jealous as well!!!!

thank you!!!! 8 days to go! what about SHOPPING???

Postby nicwrigley » 30 May 2007 15:09

thank you all so much.... i must admit, i did try and get as much info as i could on these and was torn between these and the kleopatra apartments but it looks like i chose well!!!!!!

hopefully the weather will be good, as we're only there for a week, but i am seriously thinking of going again in september (is it hot then??) for 2 weeks if we love it!!!!

so i'm looking for the lemon tree and venice... anywhere with a play area gets my vote!!!!

so what about the bag shops (surely no trip to turkey is complete without buying copious amounts of bags??? and as you can see i am a turkey virgin so am getting VERY excited...) is it better to get them in the shops in icmeler, or marmaris or the markets? or all of them?? ha ha!!!

thank you all for your kind help.

nic

Just round the corner from your apts the Babadan is a really nice restaurant called Love Star Restaurant/Bar.

It is livley and very very friendly.

It has a wide choice of food with traditional turkish cuisine, roast dinner, steaks and much much more.

The drinks list is endless with beers, spirits and especially the cocktails and the traditional Turkish FISH BOWL.

They even cater for the little ones with a kiddies menu so it would be great for your littlen.

It would be a great night out for all off you or just the two.
