Thats about right, Icmeler to Marmaris (Centre to Centre) is about 5 miles (8km), in a normal heat most people walk at about 4mph , in Turkish heat you will walk slower, also with popping into the bars I would allow 3 hours.

Me and the other half walked it in april when it was not to hot and it took us well over an hour so in the summer heat it would take longer, why not go by taxi boat, it only cost a couple of quid.

Lucky enough a lot of the pubs were closed at that time of year but had they all been open you could add another couple off hours to that.

Hey all, :D

When I was in Icmeler a few weeks ago ( :D 11-19th  May) me & mum hired bikes for 2 days at 10 lira a day. On the first day we rode all the way from the Harmony Bar to the Attaturk statue in Marmaris and it took us a couple hours. :? We did however stop at Jans cafe that over looks the mid point rock (as i like to call it) for breakfast and there were lots of people walking along the boulevard so that slowed our pace down a bit!!!! :)

I have never walked it but am very pleased to be able to say that I rode it from one end to other!!!! :D

Ps- we got the water taxi back with bikes as I got very burnt on way and needed shade asap!!!! :D
