We are off to
Icmeler in October. Have been several times before, but this is our first in 3-4 years. We normally take a couple hundred pound in Lira and the rest in Sterling travellers cheques. Have been looking around on the forum and lots of people seem to be taking English money now. As we're from Scotland, our money is not accepted. It is very difficult for us to change Scottish notes to English notes up here. Bad enough having to try to get some from the bank for our £10 visa! Is it more the norm now for people to take English notes or are travellers cheques just as widely used? We get an extremely good exchange rate from the owners of our apartments on our travellers cheques, which is why we always take them.
Any advice on this would be grately appreciated.
Thanks
