Hello
Which excursions did everyone enjoy the most last year and why did you like them so much?
I thought it would be interesting to find out where everyone has been and the favourites.

We have done quite a few different excurtions over the years we have been going to Turkey, but a couple of years ago we went to Saklekent, and it was fantastic day out. Included was a trip to a trout farm, they had a bar there that was made of stone about a foot thick and the middle was hollowed out to for a gully and when you orded your drink it was placed in the gully which was filled with ice cold water and the fish swam round your drink. You had to wad through this ice cold water to get into the gourge and it was about waist high and it was squeaky voice time for the fellers, the water was melting snow off the mountain tops, well worth a visit if you ever get the chance, we did this trip from Hisaronu but i'm sure it could be done from Icmeler.

We thoroughly enjoyed the "Jeep Safari" last year. If you havn't been before, I highly recommend it. You end up soaking wet, as everyone has water pistols, plastic bottles, or anything they can get their hands on that holds water. It really does take you back to your childhood, and everyone seems to join in and take it all in good spirit. It's a laugh from start to finish, and of course you see a lot more of the wonderful Turkish countryside than you normally would.

We've done the Jeep Safari every year we have been there & I could never get bored of it! If you haven't already tried it, you have to! Be prepared to get wet, dirty & have a ball!

Got to be my trips to Akyaka, with its backdrop of mountains, the fresh water river with its rickity bridge flowing into the sea. and its gently shelving sands that allows you to walk over a 100 metres into the sea before it reaches your waist.

HI Sharon
This trip sounds lovely, but could I ask would it be suitable for 10 and 11 year olds? ie how long does it take to get there, you know what kids are like, I dont want to hear them saying "Are we there yet?" a million times.

Also is there much there apart from the lovely beach and scenery? Hope you dont mind me asking.
Thanks in advance
Tania

Tania my grandson is 12,he loves Akyaka and its not a long trip to get there.
A direct run would be three quarters of an hour, but if we visit a few places of interest on the way I dont think our little darlings would mind.
