jet2 on line booking

Postby andyr » 10 Aug 2015 14:42

Has anyone else booked seats with Jet2 for the return trip from Dalaman and paid £8 only to find that there is no on line checking in at Dalaman and are not given the seats requested? They did this to me last year and I eventually got a refund. I did it again this year thinking they must have got on line checking in only to find that when you print the boarding passes it says there is no on line checking on the return section of the boarding pass.It seems they are charging people for the return trip even though they know you cannot book seats for the return journey

Hi Andy
We used Jet2 when we went to Icmeler in July, according to "She who must be obeyed", we booked our seats both ways. Jet2 have quite a lot of check in desks. You can still print your return boarding pass (even though you cannot use it) as it has your seat numbers on it, so when you check in, if needed you can show your return seats are booked, and they will issue the correct boarding pass. We had no problems at all.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for that, it was just that last year I was given random seats even though I had booked them, but I will check this year

We always fly with Jet2. For the last couple of years you haven't been able to print boarding passes for the return journey. However, you do check in as normal and print off the documentation. On the 'boarding pass' part it states that it isn't a boarding pass and that you have to go to the check in desk ......but...... you have actually checked in. You have to queue anyway to put your luggage in so everything is the same except they give you your boarding pass. There's really nothing to worry about. You will find some people complain that they have been charged for 'airport check in'. This is because they haven't checked themselves in online.
