Hi we stayed at the alvaro 2 years ago ( so can't really comment on the renovations) and we loved it. The rooms were basic as are all self catering accommodation I think, however I don't think there is anything I'd say to definitely take with you as pretty much all your gonna need is there and if its not ask eddie and he'll do anything he can to help you. Oh maybe coat hangers? As there weren't many of those
We have stayed in both the ground floor and first floor rooms and personally feel they are as good as each other.you maybe get a bit more privacy while on your balcony on the first floor.
You will certainly have a fantastic time at the alvaro :)

Just back from Alvero last night. had been refurbished. Still basis, but and has everything you need.
Eddie & Erkan cannot do enough to make your holiday enjoyable. They tend to put disabled or families with young children on ground, 1st floors, however have stayed there twice and have not heard any complaints from anyone staying here. Majority of people appear to return annually. Don't worry your guaranteed a fab time at these apartments 8)
