A word of warning.
When you change your moneny in these official change offices, make sure you know the exchange rate, how much you should be getting back and count your money BEFORE you leave the office.
Twice they tried to rip me and my friend off, I knew how much I should be getting back from them but they count the money out so fast you have no chance of of checking it at the same time, so even though its embarassing to do so, once they have counted it out for you, take the money and count it for yourself in front of them. I was 40 lira short my friend 10 lira, not lots of money but if they do that to every customer, its a nice earner for them. When I challenged them, they took the money back and below the desk where I couldnt see what they were doing, then put it through the cash counting maching and suprise suprise it was now correct, she had put he missing 40 lira back when she took it from me and was out of my view. The two change office are in the main square a few doors along from the Grass Aparts and on the corner nearly opposite the Kapmar Hotel. There was also an old chap who got ripped off the same time as me in the office, but he didnt get his money back.
So check your money in front of the cashier.
