hidden gems

29 May 2013 19:59

We went all inclusive last year , (thought we would give it a go ) but this year doing our own thing in self catering.
We did eat out last year but stuck to 3 bells mostly. (which we love)
And with the wealth of experience among the forum , can anyone suggest anymore good, value, places to eat .
made a note of the Meryem Roy suggested.

Hi Shelly,
You have probably opened a can of worms, as every one knows of different places, my places for reasonable prices and good food are, Tintins, Erdem cafe, Champion bar, what was Tomato pizza, best all rounder was Alins Grill, the pizza place and Alins do take out to eat at apartments, well worth the price, you can't eat in restaurants every night.

thankyou for the help Steve and Toon , all on my list , like you have said it gets a bit expensive eating out every night. We learned alot from last visit . And trying to watch the pennies this time . :)))))))

Another tip is to go for the set menus rather than a'la'carte. There are some good bargains to be had.

You should also try Sidik's Family Restaurant, Lovestar, Kontes Beach, Chef and for a proper blow out expensive night (that's if you call £50 for 2 people expensive) Bonjour in the square. All of which are fantastic value, excellent food and service.

I was a bit disappointed with the 3 Bells last year to be honest, always used to go there when it was in it's old location especially for the Sunday lunch and those massive Yorkshire puddings, and when there was a football match on, tried it twice last year and to be honest i was hungry after the meal, very small portions, i thought hello looks like we are paying for the new premises, it put me off going there this year

Thanks Sami and Quaker. we eat at the 3 bells last year , only twice , as we were AI . But we really enjoyed it.
The steak was superb . We were all chickened out in the AI hotel.
I have made a list of all the places ppl are suggesting.
I may even do a blog, I say may,
We went in May last year , And god help us we go 26th Aug this year. Slightly worried it may be too hot . But we will have to dive for cover in a bar with a very cold effes :D :D :D

Vinces is fab. We normally stay in his apartments (Demircioglu) and the food is fantastic. Also the Champagne bar, Richards Place both great.
In the 12 years we have been holidaying in Icmeler i have only ever had 2 meals that i didn't enjoy.
There is so much choice and the prices very reasonable if you go for the set menus.

Enjoy!!
