Hi,
We stayed at the grand aquarium 6 years ago on our honeymoon, lovely apartments, good pool size, friendly staff, couldnt fault it, quite a few of the little people about though

depending on your views on the little people

its a fair old walk down to the beach which didnt bother us, just stop for a drinkie or two on the way, nearly all the bars offer to pick you up and take you back ifyou would like.We found the music round the pool area a bit loud as well, this happens at a lot of places though, would stay there again.
hope this helps

Hi,
Stayed at Club Aquarium, smallish apartments compared to some, but ok if just two of you. Used the same band type payment system as Grand Aquarium, and had a shuttle bus between the two. The walk into town was fine, but the walk back is ok untill the last 150yds which is a gradual climb.

We stayed at the Senem in October 2011 and enjoyed our stay as they are in a beautiful position in the old village.
However I didnt like the shower which was in a small bath which had a built in seat at one end which meant you had to stand at one end.
I would stay next door at the new Bilnur apartments.100% better.

I can confirm that the Bilnur apartments are indeed lovely. We stayed in the new block in September and are hoping to book again for this year too.

We stayed there last year and are going back again this year (something I've never done before - booked same hotel) because it was the perfect
hotel (for us). Sueles is correct in saying there are a lot of children around but I reckon May will be ok - we have to go in summer hols as my daughter is still at school but absolutely loved the place.
We just went for 10 days last year as it was my daughter's first time abroad, this year I've booked for 14 days...
Just 150 sleeps and we will be back. Can't wait

If there are loads of children there, doing your head in, head over to Club Aquarium, usually less children and you can use same payment (scan watch system) as GA. They offer a free shuttle bus, but you can walk it in a few mins, it's not far away.
[edit] Just realised, Steve put almost the exact same earlier in this thread, sorry

I try and stay at Rhodes every year. I love it. They are clean, spacious rooms. Restaurant is excellent, food is fab. Bar prices are reasonable too. Pool is one of the best in Icmeler with plenty of sunbeds. Old Village setting with mountain backdrop to wake up to every morning. What more would you need?

We're staying at the Rhodes for the first time at the end of june, just hope that we're on the lower floor as we're both in wheelchairs.

Our 6th at GA this year on the trot, rooms are basic and a bit dated but there is just something about it, we could find cheaper but would only wish we had gone to the GA , hope you enjoy it.

Dragon, the lower floors have access over the balcony but as far as I am aware there are still stairs down to them to access the door into the apartments. I'm trying to think but I don't think there is wheelchair access accept to the restaurant & pool which is all on one level.

Hi Sami
We realised our mistake after booking. We had a look around last year by the bar and pool but we didn't actually see any of the rooms as they were all full, but thought there wouldn't be a problem. Someone else on the forum told me that we should be ok if we're on the lowest floor as we can just go over the wall by the pool straight into the apartment as that was what her husband did. As we are able to walk short distances we should be ok but if we're not on the lowest floor then we're going to have problems.
