Best Reviews and Blogs of the season

Postby Fanny » 11 Oct 2012 18:43

Just read Sian24's fantastic review - hope your leg's better and great to see it didn't spoil your holiday
Have to say that for me, it's the best review of the season, along with ScouseFitz's blog which was amazing too

Thanks very much to you both for bringing that Icmeler feeling to damp old Blighty :D

Aww thanks Fanny!!! Felt like I'd rambled on and on!! I did warn that it was a long review though ;)

Glad you enjoyed it, and hopefully there's many more to come from others!!

Fanny, I agree with you here. Scousefitz's blog was brilliant, it made me laugh out loud some days and I had the pleasure in meeting the guy himself on a boat trip in June while there for the ICR all inclusive. It was such a great day too. Anyway, I did a blog myself this year but trying to make it amusing is a job in itself and its when you realise how little you do on holiday and how many places you visit constantly.
Note to self.... must try harder next year!!!

Sian24 - long reviews are great

Sami - yep, I reckon there's definitely an art to writing blogs as funny as Scousefitz's and he's got the knack for sure  TBh, I've enjoyed all the blogs this year and couldn't even begin to write one, so thanks too for yours if I didn't thank you at the time - really appreciate those that take the time to do it x

Congratulations and great review Caltonian. We are there the first two weeks in September 2013 and really hope this coincides with the nuptials. One wee warning, don't go commando in the kilt on a donkey :D

Aw man, thanks everyone

It really was a dream holiday in every way for us, the kids absolutely loved it which just made it all the better for me and the missus. We're planning on doing something like the 5th til the 21st Sept or thereabouts so definitely have a look out for us and the donkey lol. I wish I could post a pic of the ring just to show how beautiful it is, as well as give an idea of what we paid so you could understand how much of a bargain we got (and we know we did, we've had it valued :D ) but it is under lock and key now until the big day lol.

There was so much more good about the holiday that I never included in the review, but I cannot stress enough just how much the staff at the hotel made our holiday. We had planned to do many trips with the kids, but ended up only doing the half day fishing trip as we simply couldn't tear the bhoys away from the pool and their friends/staff long enough. Even when the bar/restaurant was quiet at night and there was no planned entertainment, the staff were just so full of energy and would always do several dance routines to keep everyone going.

I also omitted to say that we gladly made it up to the dogs home on a couple of occasions, and all 4 of us each took a pooch for a walk. We also delivered a few poly bags of goodies that we had brought over that were very gratefully received. Another highlight of the holiday :)

We also visited the tattoo artist on the main road up towards the village (across the road from Hanedan) and me and the missus got a couple of tattoos done that we are both delighted with.

I'll try to pick out some of the many pics we took and will get them posted soon.

Once again, thank you very much everyone for your good wishes, we appreciate them greatly! :D

I have not got a favourite review but I have enjoyed reading each and everyone one of the reviews. Great source of recommendations, information and how people spend their holiday. Just wish more people would write a review.
