There are some areas were the beach is free.
Other areas were sunbeds are 3 lira each including a brolly.
Some places (Kontes) were the sunbeds are 5lira.
Some bars offer free use of sunbeds as long as you purchase food and drink from the bar.

Just returned from Icmeler last Tuesday. The beds in front of Coco Beach, B&S and Erdem were free but it was expected that occupiers of the beds purchased drinks etc from the respective beach attendants, which is fair enough. However, we did notice quite a few AI occupying the beds and of course, going back to their AI hotels for lunch etc and not buying anything. I think this is totally unfair because how do they expect these attendants to earn a living? The beds in front of L'Etoille cost 5/6 lira which they should have taken! I don' know how they would police this other than seeing the wrist bands refuse them to have a bed - no easy solution I am afraid. :(

Hello, returned last night and we were charged 3 lira each at coco beach, but we went down to the beach at Cafe Delmar which was free (and had new comfy sunbed cushions) however we did have lunch and drinks there first which was no hardship as it was lovely! :)

We returned last Thursday and we paid 6 lire per day (for the last god-knows how many years it has been 5 lire) for 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella on the Kontes/Efendi beach. We have always used that beach so never bothered to try anywhere else. I might add that the beach was rammed every day so people are obviously not bothered about the price increase.

I used Coco beach for 2 weeks, and was not charged anything. We did buy drinks, but sometimes it was only water. They have a sign at the entrance to the beach ----COCO BEACH, FREE SUNBEDS, so I don't know why you had to pay.

We paid 5tl each for a bed. It was on the beach straight in front of you as you walk from the square.
Last year we paid 3tl at the same beach and bought drinks & food there all day!
This year we bought our own water from the shops etc.
Sounds tight, but 2.5tl for a small bottle of water x 6 soon mounts up, especially when you can walk 50ft and get your own for half a lira!
Beach didn't seem as busy in August as it was last year and had no litter bins by the beds or buckets of water to dip your feet in before walking on the hot sand to get in the sea.

thanks for all your replies everyone, it doesnt sound that different from last year really but ill just have to see. but im staying in an AI hotel and wont be staying on the beach related to the hotel but will go oin other parts of the beach. and even though i may be going back to the hotel for luch, ill still be buying drinks etc from the guys on the beach. and id prefer NOT to be sent packing just because i have an AI wrist band!! especially if i go to coco beach as i like it there :D infact spent my whole 2 weeks of my holiday there last year lol but people shouldnt be so harsh to people staying in the All inclusive hotels because there is alot of them unfortunately. but it doesnt mean they dont spend their money in other places and providing business, i know i dont stay in the hotel.

We always use beach at Harmony which is always free, with the usual expectation that drinks and/or food are bought there - though NO pressure to do so at all, the food's so lovely we oblige every time

Am I missing something here though?? Thought that this year ALL of the beach was supposed to be free?
