Travellers Cheques.

Hello,
We are going to Icmeler on monday and always take travellers cheques but at marks and spencers we have been advised not to take any, due to forgeries. Is there another way, don`t fancy carring cash on the journey and keeping it in the safe etc. Can anyone tell us if they have any experience of this.

Cant see the problem here !
If there are hooky t/checks knocking about how can it affect you changing yours as you will be getting lira or sterling from the bank with the ones that Marks an Sparks will have sold you. The only problem I can see is that the hooky t/checks will have come from UK and that will be the receiving banks problem and certainly not yours.
So its straight back to M an S on return, if yours are hooky.

I got TC from Lloyds TSB on Wed and they didn't mention about any problems with forgeries.

Got mine today from m&s today and nothing was said about forgeries
