Dolphin Swim

Postby south coast hero » 05 Aug 2012 20:05

I would like to recommend this trip to any one who would like to swim with dolphins.
My daughter who is now 22 has wanted to do this all her life and this year did so.
The cost was £70 and the swim is for your little group only not with a dozen or so strangers.
This was my first dealings with ICR and although it was only a trip they organised every question we asked was answered honestly which differs sometimes to the street travel agents so a thank you to Elaine for her knowledge and help.
This post hopefully will not turn into an animal miss treatment debate i am just saying if you want to swim with dolphins its a good trip.

Hi there,

I did this trip with a friend I went with in September 2011 who really wanted to do this and have this experience. I was (I admit) in two minds about the whole thing. Should I do it because of what other people have said about Dolphins being in captivity etc. But part of me wanted to do it and I am now glad I did - To be so close and personal to the Dolphin was a truly amazing experience, very tranquil, peaceful and calming. Thought it was a bit over-priced as we paid £80 each for 10 minutes swim.

I will not ever get the chance to do this again!

Regards,

SG x

Hi Mrs M, unfortunately the age limit is 11 and over to swim with the Dolphins, but they can meet or watch the Dolphins :)

Hi Scotmiss. When you are in resort if you come to the ICR office myself or Michelle would be able to give you all the information you require as we have actually been to the Dolphin Centre. If you would like information before arriving in resort then please message me or Michelle and we will gladly reply to your questions. It really is quite an experience :)
